The Sixteen

The Sixteen is one of the world’s most acclaimed music ensembles and are the 'Voices of Classic FM'. It was formed by Harry Christophers in 1979 and has nurtured some of the top solo talent of recent times. Members of The Sixteen are the best choral singers in the UK, many have burgeoning solo careers and most are young and dynamic.
The group perform across the UK and in Europe. Each year ‘The Choral Pilgrimage’ tour visits up to 26 venues over several months with one programme. They have won many awards over the years, and within recent years have won two ‘Classic FM Gramophone Awards’, including Artist of the Year – the first time an ensemble won this award.
A new site was designed to reflect the group's activity and reputation. The Concerts area is broken down into countries and cities to enable visitors from across the world to find events happening near to where they live. There's also a online shop, a major income for the group, giving visitors the opportunity to purchase CDs and DVDs featuring The Sixteen.
